The Story of Oroplata
Founded in 1988, Oroplata long provided jewelers, artisans, and manufacturers with a supply catalogue (findings, gemstones, precious metals, and workshop consumables) as well as refining services. In 2020, the business was split into two distinct activities: the refining operation remained under the ownership of founder Sylvain Lequy, while the “resale” division was taken over by Pier-Luc Morency and Miho Hihara, who have since continued to expand the offering for the jewelry community.
